hello internet. my name is D (gonna stick with this for now because i’m still scared to share my full name with the ~whole world~) and i guess this is my first post. truthfully, i’ve never practiced writing in any formal sense and don’t really feel the need to restructure my thoughts so it maintains proper grammar. I don’t really know what my clear goal is with this whole blog but let’s just say i’m going to be journaling, sharing my interests and trying my best to be as candid and ‘raw’ as possible. I won’t lie. I’ve also never read blogs. i don’t know the best way to format them. Hopefully, that doesn’t bother people(?)
Over the next few weeks, months or however long it takes me to possibly get bored of this, i’m going to try my best to share the thoughts of a 24 year old, close to normal dude. I don’t really know how much that demographic information stuff really matters this early on, but i assume over time anyone reading these will figure out all the other boxes that i check. I don’t really have a true target audience for these posts, but let’s just say i hope to bring a genuine, non-toxic voice to all the young people out there (probably a lot of males just bc a lot of my thoughts/actions i imagine are related to my life as a dude). That’s not to say others won’t find connection with my posts but i felt the need to preface with that in case i lose some of you along the line.
As i mentioned above, i don’t have any aims with this blog. I don’t really know if i have a core political ideology. I don’t think i’m necessarily an overly stereotypically masculine individual. Instead i like to say i’m more of an up the middle kind of person. Binary topics make me uncomfortable and i’ve never felt the need to pick a camp. Murky waters are my comfort zone. So maybe that’ll make this, not to misappropriate a phrase, a safe space for individuals of all makes, modes, and years so to speak.
Not really sure how to end this blog post but if you made it this far. Welcome and i hope you continue to feel welcomed in this shared space. Talk to y’all later, D.
